At what point does one know that they've been conditioned to be a paranoid.... no schizophrenia yet though (wheew that was close)
I don't know when it happened but I've come to realize that I'm pepretually guilty, and it doesn't matter if I've done it or not. 
I got called in to see our clinic's leading petty officer... closed room, no witnesses, no big deal but my mind is already hunting out things I'm guilty of. I've tried and convicted myself several times by the time the actual meeting was to take place (all of 5 mintutes). I still don't know what I've done, and I already know I'm guilty. Why is this? Sure most of the things I can think of are silly things like booking reservatrions for things online, checking the only outside email site they haven't figured out how to block yet, and the power supply I thought about swiping to build my own bass amp/cabinet with from an obsolete computer. Such a bad boy I am 
Turned out since I got advanced I needed to have my evaluation redone due to my new rank. They didn't touch a thing except change my rank, and check a box marked for my being a recently promoted. I still got evaluated as being eligible for an early promotion.

Yeah, I totally have the whole "guilty" thing going for me too. I hate feeling guilty just as much as being accused of something (and one follows the other, follows the other). You just can't win. A guilty conscience can best be countered by an intelligent mind. Seeing as we've been able to convince most of the world of some sembelance of sanity, I'd say we must be doing something right.

The squirrel has been up to no good. The peanuts have been left out for him on purpose, but he keeps digging up the flowers in the pots on the deck!
