MEAN, NASTY, EVIL SUN!!!!!!

Stupid desert! It's freaking HOT I lost, I gave in, I just couldn't take it anymore. I turned on the AC. The sad thing is that its still not even May and we're already hitting temps up in the low 100's (40's for the metric types)
I went out for a ride and I didn't even get 20 miles into it when I was already out of water. 3 liters gone!!! Yes it's that hot. I turned back and went home (stopping along the way for a gatoraid and some more water. I got home, showered and passed out. I mean passed out, it wasn't even 10 when I got home this morning and I was out till a little after 3:30. I was beat, and after waking up in a pool of my own sweat I decided that I'd had enogh, another shower and turn the AC on. What did I learn today? That I've got to take more fluids with me when I head out for a ride in the morning, or I've got to get my trail lights charged so that I can hit the trails at night when it's a bit cooler. The set up I have is OK for commuting in the winter but I don't know if it's good enough for night trail use, I guess I'll just have to take it out and find out the hard way tonight at about 3 AM.
