Well the hard drive died on my new computer already, that's the bad news. I guess that these things sometimes come from the factory bad. I know this is true, I had a Western Digital so the same thing to me on my last desk top only a month after I got it. The good news is that the shop was able to recover the data that I had on it 100% (or so they say for now). It's a good thing too, because I've been avoiding the computer desk ever since I sent my new computer in. I've got this old iMac sitting cattywompus on my dresser and the keyboard stretched across to my desk since there is a monitor where I would normaly put it. As much as I hate using the iMac it hasn't broke down on me.... yet eeek I've been having some pretty bad luck lately with electronics, my bikes, and work too blackeyed I just want to know when I get some Zippity-do-da time. This run of unfortunate events has me a little down, so I figured that maybe if I go through all the crap that I've accumulated over the last several moves and toss all the crap I don't need that will make me feel better. Well I don't really feel all that much better so far, and now the apartment is a wreck (actually it's not all that bad) and I've still got a lot to go.

I gotta go thru and toss a lifetime worth of accumulated crap out someday. Just last year, I finally cleaned out the garage after years of neglect.

Sorry to hear about your hard drive failure. At least you still have the old iMac until you get a replacement. Have you seen the new Duo Core iMac's that can boot and run Windows XP?

Since you were here, the processor on my studio computer DIED, and wiped out the 100 Gb hard drive. Luckily, the 250 Gb HD was fine and I keep most things backed up to DVD, so I didn't lose anything.

But I had to go out and buy a new studio computer. I knew it was time....I've had the old one for about 4 years. So I got a new Sony VAIO. It's only 22x faster than my old studio computer. I love it!!!
