Well, I hurt. The 14 mile hike turned into 16 (18 by one of the other guys GPS), and the hike did go up to 14230 feet, but it also started at 10000 feet. We're required to take oxygen to anything that goes above 10000 so the O2 cylinder was also loaded into the med pack. Good thing too, since one of our hikers ended...

NO MORE PAINTING... for now. Duty ends tomorrow, and so does the painting till next duty day. I still have to go in on my normal day off but I don't really don't care since I took a couple of days off next week, and I still have Saturday and Sunday (sort of). I do however have to provide coverage for a nice hike up...

Just finished moving the last of the stuff from one apartment to the other and the laptop is the last thing to go. The move went pretty easy for my room mate, its only a couple of doors down from his old place in the same building on the same floor. I on the other hand will be having a little more difficulty.
It rained...

Ever have one of those days where you don't acomplish anything, and feel good about it? Well I just did, no work, no moving, no room mate, no hassles, no TV all I did was nap for most of the day and I feel petty good about it. But then again I had not been sleeping a whole lot the rest of the week either...

And you are not a "little person"wink You actually have an important ranksmile

whitewidow:
I wasn't a spring chicken when I got in.....25 - I am just so scared of the higher ups that I tend to see the rank before the person...unless they are stepping on my toes when I am working. I have had to tell a few officers where to go and how to get there....but I always do it in a way that can't come back to bite me in the asswink

whitewidow:
Well - I have been hearing that a place called "Underground" is suppose to be good. I haven't been dancing in quite a while though so this may prove entertaining blush

As for the video....I am just happy that the family of that pilot were not mad at me for not being able to do more for him. I still haven't heard from the other family yet, but I am hoping that they feel the same way. I did what I did to try and keep their memory alive but you know how death can make people see things the wrong way.

Anyways - I hope you get settled in alright and have a wonderful weekendwink I get to do a ruck sack march tomorrowbiggrin Ahhh - the joy of being a Medic huh? Not only do I get to provide medical coverage....but I get some exercise too!wink

Lazing on a Sunday afternoon... I feel like I did not acomplish much today. I took like 3 naps before going out and doing anything. I had to run into a local store for about an hour while the sky tore open and let loose with droplets the size of gum balls (I'm not kidding either). This is the desert and were not supposed to...

Well it's morning, and cool. smile YAY. The tip worked, I believe. It's 2 degrees from desired temp. I'm still having it checked but at least it's cooler now.

About the jeep, I agree, hearing the stereo is very important. And be careful welding next weekend, you might need your sight for other things ... like driving. biggrin

Oh and I read medical books too. I was reading about Wobblers (typical Dobermann disease) and dreamed about vertebraes with no discs. No x-rays, it was viewed by pulling back the skin. Yuck. For some reason, I felt the need to share that. confused
whitewidow:
See - you should wait till I come down there cause I have hidden talents that I do not tend to share with others.......I use to be a welder for a while blush

As for the jeep - I think that all I would need to do is sit and have a heart to heart with it and let it know that I am not a bad personwink

Glad to hear that you had a relaxing weekend hunsmile

I have got to outa here.... NOW!!!! OK the part about drinking a little too much of the Captian last night was my own fault,, but getting woken up by a blaring fire alarm (this thing would wake Hellen Keller) at 0600 on a Saturday is not my idea of fun. Then getting yelled at for taking the time to god forbid put on sandals...

Love the Jeep. I dated someone in the early 90's who had an orange CJ5 (78ish?) with leather Levi interior. He bought it ... I drove it. biggrin and I loved it. Have a good time in it. I'm sure though, you do. smile
