i live in tennessee now.
i'm trying to figure out how to describe snowmelt flowing over rocks in a david lerner style, to describe all this beauty in the most gruesome way possible.
i've been entranced recently by oil flowing slowly into a glass, watching the slow motion curves of bubbles
also by bare winter trees that look like living math
and strata, differential erosion, uplift.
we saw the arizona meteor crater on our way out. america charges $15 per person to look at a 30 million year old hole in the ground. so we snuck in. and i ran around going "VEEEERROOOOO *BOOM*!!!!!"
over and over.
i'm back where i belong. but don't worry - i'll still work hard to depress the shit out of everybody with cynical insight.
