Oh, and congrats to your wife! Why wouldn't a visibly pregnant set be accepted? She's still a beautiful naked lady, right?

the world is colors and motion, thought and feeling... and what does math have to do with it? not much if "maht" means being bored in hgih school, but in truth mathematics is the one universal science. mathemmatics is the study of pure pattern, and everything in the cosmos is a kind of pattern.

the patterns of mathematics can be roughly grouped into five archetypes:number,...

i have soulseek now, and otherwise spend a lot of free time trying to get my news into the boards here, so that once i've gotten 2000 articles accepted, i can meet missy!

Timeline of Terror Alerts

A newly compiled timeline gives a horribly clear perspective on our growing culture of fear, and how it is being exploited for political gain by the Bush administration.

The page, created by JuliusBlog, tells the story of each terror alert since February of 2002, along with the antecedent...

I chose not to publish the story that you submitted because while the link was good and your write-up was funny, the content of your write-up had absolutely nothing to do with the story at hand and included made-up quotes. If you'd like your work published and you'd like the points for it, please submit write-ups that accurately describe the actual story you link to.

It's nothing against you personally, it's just that we don't publish things like you submitted to the Technology section.

btw, it's a boy. (75%chance, anyways)

Good on you--boys have their good points...just keep telling yourself that when you're dishing out the bail money. wink

I know about the alcohol.
I am quite familiar with the vicious cycle of depression+alcohol. . .this is by no means my first bout with the red-eyed beast. fortunately i am getting better at dealing with it, and i am not in a particularly vulnerable place, as i was a couple of years ago.
I just needed a place to vent, and--this is perhaps the saddest thing i can say right now--my SG journal was the only place i could think of.
Which, i think, might give a little peek into what might be contributing to this depression.
Thanks for the advice, though.
It is appreciated.
And, though i can't figure someone honestly using the word poignant without facetious intent, i will take your words as a niceness, as you are definitely a good sort.
Thanks, amigo.
And my deepest congratulations.
I can't think of anything more humblingly amazing than fatherhood.

A girl asked a guy if he thought she was pretty:
he said...pretty ugly.

She asked him if he would want to be with her
forever....and he said he didn't want to be with anyone for forever.

She then asked him if she were to leave would he
cry, and once again he replied...

actually, i should have said "Hiroshim-odyssey," disney's new theme park on the pacific rim, with all the fun and excitement of a nuclear holocaust, without the radiation burns and horrific death and violence.

everyone is cutoff. not referring here to the universal sense, but to my insularity since this baby thing has come up.

only a couple people out of everyone i know has ahd anything even vaguely useful to say, i've stopped soliciting advice.

it's hard to explain why i decided to go through with the whole thing. maybe impossible, since i'm not sure i understand it....

the great thing about being grown up is that no one knows how to do it, but it seems to happen anyway. . .and the fact that you think about it seriously is probably a good sign that you can handle it.
And hey, nobody wants a dad who can't be a fun guy to have around.
I'm sure you've got what it takes--just remember that this kid needs EVERYTHING from you, and you will be super numberone great dad.
as for marriage, well, as long as things grow and change, it's not like one relationship, it is something new everyday. no one stays the same forever, so it'll be like waking up with someone new all the time, without the instability or risk of STD's!
It's a wonderful life, buddy boy.
