Okay, first off, BIG CONGRATS to Michael Phelps!!!!! He could have been from any freakin' country and i would be so happy for the man, that is a feat to be impressed by, when you consider the caliber of athlete that even goes to the olympics and then consider that out of any sport, he has the most olympic medals in general and in one year. But i am doubly proud because we get to claim him as our own in the U.S. of A! See, there are still some great things about this country!
Second, I want one of these soooooooooooooo badly, the pictures actually make me drool. But i've made myself a deal, if i'm good until mid-october i will get an order of them shipped to my house for my mom and my birthdays (they're only 6 days apart).

But i have been really good about eating healthy and cutting out unnecessary sweets and junk foods from my diet! this weekend i only had 1 piece of bread when we went out instead of eating the damned stuff until my meal comes. and i've lost 2 cm off my waist in a week. i refuse to get on a scale becasue, for me especiallu, it's such a poor way to gauge my fitness level. so i'm measuring my - horrible word alert! - girth on a weekly basis. if i wasn't going into work so early i'd be able to run more, but right now, until we hire someone to replace kalana and melanie gets back from maternity leave, i'm pretty much pulling 12 hour days!
to appease my sweet tooth i look at pictures of yummy things.....
oh and it doesn't help that Ace of Cakes (aka Charm City Cakes) is one of my favorite tv shows
so did everyone have a good weekend? did you learn anything new? i learned how to fishtail braid...

As for what I learned this weekend, I learned that the house and laundry aren't going to clean themselves.
That's a pretty crazy braid, it looks complicated.
