Hockey is so fun to watch. Really. I found myself jumping..no, leaping..out of my seat, yelling wildly at each US goal..
There were so many Slovakians in the stands. I just couldn't believe it. And they did this thing instead of yelling "wooo!" or clapping all the time..they all did the fingers-in-the-lips whistle. At the same time. It was ear piercingly loud!
Anyway, the US beat Slovakia, 3-1.
I'm off for a walk, which is something I've been wanting for a while, and then it's a friend's birthday today, so I might be driving him around.

Hey, sounds like you had fun. My daughter is a huge hockey fan. I enjoy seeing it live but like most sports I dont watch it otherwise. Was the game here or are you out of town?

i watched hockey during the grey cup. it was insane. there was rioting in the streets after every game and it usually went on until about 4am, which made it extremely hard for me to sleep. i think this site has some nice pics of the events
