Walgreens was a trip today. They were understaffed, and the young man behind the counter was clearly competent, but nervous as hell that someone was going to take issue with the fact that he couldn't do everything at once. Reminded me of myself at work, on a constant basis..poor guy..
I just saw a great, though quite sobering, film. "Maria, Full of Grace" is the title, and it opens on Friday. My friend gave me a couple of advance tickets..I went alone, as I like to take in movies by myself..
Maria is a young Colombian woman with a dismal future who takes on a job as a drug mule. There is no way to explain this movie without giving away some crucial info..its plot is quite spare, and to talk too much about it would ruin the film for you..
..go see it..the acting and production are wonderful..not flashy, like movies can get, but not wanting, like low-budget can sometimes feel..it felt honest.

i will rent that movie and make sure to buy a nice throw at Target with a matching pillow to help comfort me through the rollercoaster of emotions that will take over me.
