Gearing up for Pride weekend here..roommate Kellyboy's friend Dean is having some schmancy party tonight to kick it off..we're going in about an hour..Kelly says there will be lots of hottie men in attendance, but I'm not exactly their type.

I got my old kayak sold today..sold it to an ex-boyfriend. Which is fitting, as the boat was initially a gift from a different ex-boyfriend. So the new boat is licensed and ready to go, paddle is oiled, now I just need to have some free time...

Isn't that just the way it goes?

Dinner was amazing. I went on a caribbean cruise last winter, and the food on the big ship doesn't even compare to what i ate last night. Dean had a fifteen foot table covered (covered!) in elegant, delicate little things, surrounding two whole salmon (different kinds of salmon) and a giant tray of b.t. mcelrath chocolates..b.t. is a local chocolate god, and i've only been able to afford one or two of his truffles at a time.

I am so bloated...but it was worth it.

Spent a good part of the evening talking about languages with a man named Darren..and hit it off with Jason, Kelly's old roommate.

What a good night!
