thanks. and it's funny because it seems to be raining everywhere except california. oh well. 
Spent the fourth with neighbors..six houses on my block had a big barbecue and drunkfest, followed by fireworks. Spent part of the evening across the street, watching Sex and the City with neighbor Sam, who is the last person I thought would be into that series. I think he views it as educational.

Sounds like a nice, safe, way to spend the holiday. I went out to the fireworks on the pier for a few minutes. It was so damned foggy, we couldn't see anything. Plus, the big crowd kinda made me nervous, so in the middle of the display I walked back home.

holy shit. it's 3:30 a.m. in a bad neighborhood, and the burglar alarm just went off. nobody in the house that we can see, but there is no better way to get the fight or flight response up than unexpected loud crazy scary noises right in the middle of the sleep cycle.

Gotta tell you, it's the weirdest thing seeing folk from that far in the past again. I occasionally bump into folk I went to highschool with at bars and such, but it's nothing more then the "Hi, how are you? Where do you work? Married?" blah, blah, blah...

You like accounting? Ewwww!!! LOL. j/k. I never thought I liked numbers until I started stock market investing. Then they got reeeeeeeealllly interesting. I haven't done it in awhile, so now I'm completely stupid when it comes to numbers. But, we'll get back at it.
I would love to go kayaking if I could swim and wasn't afraid of the water. ::sigh::

I'm glad your funk only lasted weeks.. mine went on for years. I'd gotten so caught up and lost myself so easily.. it's taken me years to try and get to my core again.

What camera/lens do you use?
Also I've found some of the best photos I've taken have been with a Walmart point and shoot advantix... course taking the film to Ritz to get developed helped some I think
also i have no clue what I'm doing with a camera so the p&s keeps it simple for me
