Rant.

Beware to anybody who was once self employed. I haven't been self employed since 2007, but since applying for Child benifits after having Evie I now keep getting letters from HMRC telling me: my tax return is late and i have to pay 100 - but when I call they say... oh it's ok, we can see you're not self employed.

Today a letter saying my class 2 NI hasn't been paid - so I call and keep getting cut off - so I call the information and complaints number - I may as well have spoken to a parrot - he says call the number - I say I have, i keep getting cut off, he says call it back - I say I have I've been cut off a few times, and I was wondering if there was any advise you can give me, he says call the number. I say... you're not very helpful, he got pissy with me, saying i'm not able to do anything for you, so i asked what he actually could do, and he said - I can give you the number. I said I have it, i've called it, it's cutting off, he says - call it next week.

Bah! That is not customer service for a complaints line!
