Hmmm, interesting day.
Work was better, got taught alot today. It made me feel better, actually being able to help out!
This afternoon was fairly uninteresting. It all went crazy just after i went to bed.... Did Mike run in, in a leather cod-piece and gimp mask, i hear you ask...??? NO. Just after i'd got into my PJ's and got all tucked up into bed, the fire alarm went off.
Now, i've lived in places where this happens for no reason, so we went out and tried to reset it. That didn't work, it kept going off. Mike went outside, came back told me to get out, because there was a fire upstairs. This information sent me running back inside, Mim and Hobbes were not impressed with being shoved into their carry cases. Once they were in, I took them outside, Mike had called the fire service while i'd been getting them. I threw some clothes on, and we waited.
On a plus note, we got to meet our new neighbours from downstairs.
I had to put the kids in the car, which was right outside. The fire engines turned up and they put out what had turned into a rather large kitchen fire. The three people that live upstairs, surprise surprise, were not in.... They turned up in dribs and dabs, the first so off his face he could hardly string a sentence together.

Eventually we were allowed in, but the guys from upstairs had to wait... Mike thought he heard the fireman say cannabis and growing in the same sentence... hmmmm The police were called.

So here i am. All awake, listening to elephants stomp around upstairs. It was kinda scary.

Still gives me something to talk about at work tomorrow.....
