I'm in the house!

I mean, not at the moment, I haven't set up internet there yet. But I have a key and I've slept there the last two nights I may spend the night at the apartment tonight, but that feels like cheating.

I love it!

Pictures will come soon. I feel kind of small in it- the house is big and old. It is definitely meant for a family. But I can have great parties in it, and decorate it however I want. I'm excited to finally have a place I can entertain at.

I need to replace all the carpet upstairs and on the steps- lots of dog stains that the old owner had professional cleaners try to remove with no luck.

I just bought a washer and dryer.

I need lots of small things- outdoor trash can, extra plunger, shelf liner paper, things of that nature. It'll get there in time In the meanwhile, I'm picking out paint and carpet colors (the priority rooms to paint are my bedroom and bathroom, guest bedroom, and upstairs bathroom, in that order), measuring floors and walls, and generally being nervous/excited.

What was your first home? I mean, the one that was YOURS, not the one you grew up in?
