Okay, I'm bored of the last post already, so I am going to post odd things about myself, in the spirit of the "25 things" facebook note thingy that went around a year or so ago. Except I won't shoot for 25, I'll just go for however many I can think of. Here we go!
1. I adore the heat when you first get into a sealed car after it's been sitting in the sun all day. 120 degrees? Sign me up. Of course, I only enjoy it for 40 seconds or so, but those 40 seconds are BLISS.
2. I hate playing instruments or singing in front of people, or even have them know I'm doing it. I get so nervous, I can't do it properly. I've been singing more at home lately, so xbradx has heard me, but even then I don't sound as good as I feel like I do alone.
3. I feel really weird about friending people on here or facebook. I always think that if they wanted me as their friend, they would have added me already.
4. I want to be a stand-up comedian. I've been writing a little bit since October of last year, but I am terrified of actually getting up in front of people and having them think I'm not funny.
5. As much as I miss New York, I'm adapting better to Indiana than I ever thought I could. I'm actually talking to people at work (and at school, though to a lesser extent) which I've pretty much never done before.
6. I really like my job. Sure, I complain, but all jobs have parts that suck, and mine really don't happen often.
7. I think a lot about studying pharmacology on my own and taking the certification test on my own, which is totally legal but has only happened 3 times in Indiana (well, 3 people have passed it, anyway). It is also harder to get a job then, but imagine if I were to pass the test then apply for school just to have something on my resume. That would be awesome.
8. I want to get back into writing. I also have the beginnings of a few poems and essays, but nothing anywhere near finished yet.
9. I get angry easily, but I forgive even more easily.
10. I honestly can't believe I've been in a successful relationship for this long, and presumably will be for the rest of my life. That's kind of absurd to me... I mean, 3 years and a month ago, I was being released from my third inpatient psychiatric hospitalization in a year. Almost 5 years ago I got kicked out of my regular high school for being depressed (that's basically what it boiled down to, honestly. Though maybe carrying a razor blade in my purse and cutting myself in class helped) and went into an outpatient psychiatric program for 30 days. Then I got transferred to an all girls' high school (and met Ekka) and started PASSING classes. I'll save the rest of this for another blog if anyone cares, or probably just a diary, but... it's been a bit of work to get to a point where I can hold down a job and pass college classes and go three entire years without intentionally hurting myself (after literally a decade of self-injury behaviors).
11. As outgoing as I can be on here, I am a total introvert in real life. I mumble, I can't look people in the eyes, and it's nearly impossible for me to start conversations with strangers or very casual acquaintances.
12. I am working really hard on maintaining some sort of balance between being super mushy on facebook, which I want to be sometimes, and being entirely disinterested in xbradx, and ragging on him like I would anyone else.
13. ... it turns out I'm not nearly as interesting as I thought. Oh well.

I mean...how much more diverse can you get haha? buuuuuuuuuuuttt I want to read more of your writing. (annnd remind me to send you more of mine), and as for careers....do what you love, whatever that may be
