That seems pretty early.. I don't remember when my exams used to be over, but I remember them always being closer to the middle of the month. But maybe I'm just skewing my memories to make myself feel better.. Stupid working-life! I'm taking off from the 24th (ie. I'm working on the 23rd) until the 3rd (back on the 4th). It's the longest I've been off in nearly two years.. :S And also the first year that I'll be staying in Toronto instead of going home for the holidays.
And I too pronounce it 'bay-zil'. "bah-zil" sounds too snooty/pretentious to me, but I think it's more of a toh-may-to/toh-mah-to thing.
