good evening sg members.

your task for the evening, should you choose to accept it, is to find the song "calendar girl" by the stars from their latest album, set yourself on fire. it will not be easy. the road to success will often be blocked by various internet problems. if you cannot succeed, find the lyrics at least.

the reason for the mission? the...

so lately i have been making myself sick.

before you assume things let me explain.

this summer i was diagnosed with celiac's desease. this means that i have an intolerance to gluten (found in wheat, barley, oats, and rye). note, intollerance, not allergy. basically i am genetically deficient and thus unable to break down said gluten which in turn damages my small intestines rendering...

my friends mom has that. and she cant eat much of anything. ive sampled some of her gluten free goods, as in cookies and such, and they are terrible. but then again she doesnt by anything expensive. the american market might be cheaper than canadas though, so maybe you should look into it. if you want i can ask her where she gets most of her stuff next time i see her
nanomaton:
Sounds like you need to take a visit to Chapters/Indigo and look for some gluten-free cookbooks. A friend of mine was diagnosed with the same thing, and she seems to be making out alright now after some trouble changing her diet.

I've had some alright gluten free cookies and such from The Big Carrot (out on the Danforth) before as well.

I have little to no sweet-tooth though, so my immediate reaction is simply to stop eating that stuff. But I know that's harder than I would think. smile

what a shitty week. i honestly do not believe there has been a worse one in a while.

i did nothing, saw no one, accomplished nothing. this is all my fault. yesterday HugsyGirl invited me out and i was going to go and then i felt sooooo drained and sick that i couldn't. and i wanted to. but i had NO energy.

i really think...

Your life is WAY too full!

These pretzels are making me thirsty! wink

I make everyone hungry.. it's funny. Especially my mom and my friend Dusten. I always tell them what I had for supper the day I'm talking to them, and they always get off the phone hungry. tongue

dear americans,

vote.

but before you do, remember that your decision will affect and effect not just you, an american, but the rest of the world as well.

how powerless does that make the rest of the world? crazy.

so exercice your democratic power and vote.

sincerely,
me.
nanomaton:
"how powerless does that make the rest of the world? "

I've been thinking about that all day. I *do* feel totally powerless.
hugsygirl:
me too.... frown

right now... I think I hate America.... you ban gay marriage, you (even in the nether regions) vote to keep marijuana illegal, and worst of all you give the most dangerous man on earth a second term in office.

first of all, i'm the kind of girl who wears lipstick only when she can't find her chapstick.

second of all, i had a crappy weekend, as usual.

third of all, sometimes it is better to not share something with someone because if you do, you rick attaching a reminder of that person Ito the object in question.

i'm in a strange mood, kids. what...

i feel like i spiraled almost completely out of control this week. i realize i've been rather cryptic in my previous 2 enteries about what it is that's been going on, but i don't really want to admit to what a bad shape i'm in at this point. none of us like to be thought of as 'weak', including me.

but fuck. i'm weak.

Thanks for the congrats.. I read all yours too, cryptic or not! tongue

ps. I usually use Soulseek, or just get stuff from friends.
randie:
Don't be sorry for your emo rant. I totally understand. I have been so busy with work and stuff it just feels like I dont have time for anything else.
But it's ok cause I get to go away soon. I didn't mean that in a rubbing it in kind of way. But I think thats what you need. A vacation. Or at least just set aside a weekend that you can just relax and go out and have a good time. And not think about work and school.

Stop beating yourself up over everything.

Hope you feel better. smile kiss

nothing new, really.

feel a bit worthless today though. long story. long night last night. somewhat crazy and reckless.

can a night be reckless?

randie:
Come on now. Your not worthless. frown Are you still really busy with school? I hope it's going well. And to answer your question....... Yes. I have had my fare share of reckless nights.
nanomaton:
You're a tease! You can't say there's a story, but not tell it. Did someone knock you down again? smile

with someone named 'ira'

i've never done that before

i have a feeling
it'd be explosive

all i lack is a cute "ira"

why 'ira'? i truly can't explain it.

it's a name with no associations?

I havent read anything by Tom Robbins, so Im definitely writing that on my book list. Thank you! I can see that youve enjoyed Written On The Body as well, I love it but its terribly sad at times, The Passion is still my favourite I think, or Sexing The Cherry...
maxwellxdemon:
Ira, oh yes it's a sort of Woody Allen character name I believe. They wear the plaid sport coat with the patches on the elbows along with a pair of orange polyester pants. I think they also tend to wear a scarf around the neck, very
New York early 70's. Or ofcourse Ira Glass from "This American Life" on NPR!! He's super close with David Sedaris!! Cool cat!! What do you think?
