Well, I had an interesting weekend. I went camping with Tricky and a few of his friends. I was all worried that I wasn't going to know anyone, cuz he only knew his one friend from school and this guy's gf. But we decided to get away for the weekend anyways. So on Friday nite, we meet up at Super Burger so that we can all head up to Sauble Beach together. So we arrive, and I decide that since most people are going to be smoking this weekend that I might as well get some smokes too. So while Tricky was gone to get me smokes his friend from school arrives and we chat til Tricky gets back. I was sitting in the car, and Tricky went to say hi to some other people in the next car over. I look up and I see this girl in the car looking at me and I can see her ask "Is that your girlfriend?" to Tricky, so I looked away cuz I was shy. Then the next thing I know, that girl is running at the car and is jumping outside my window. At first I was all like "What the hell? Boy is this girl ever friendly. She must be on something already." But as I looked at her, it sunk in. It was Meghan, my old best friend from grade 6. I was like "HOLY FUCK! What are YOU doing here???" . It was great. We were friends til about grade 10 which was when we both kind of went our seperate ways. We saw each other once a year at Christmas mass but we mainly lost contact. I couldn't believe how weird it was to see her and hang out with her again. So anyways, we all headed up to the camp site, where we then proceeded to put up the tent in the dark. I was on Flashlight duty, which I must say I did not do a very good job of. I'm surprised Tricky didn't fire me
On Friday nite, we all sat around the campfire and people were playing the guitar and we all joined in singing some songs. It was fabulous. Saturday was a pretty good day, except for when I thought it would be a good idea to sit in the sun for 6 hours and THEN put on sunscreen. Let's just say that didn't go over well with my skin. I was burnt pretty bad on my right leg and my chest and my nose. I'm a silly goose sometimes. The weekend was pretty good in the longrun. The nights were freaking cold as hell. I was wearing 2 pairs of pants, one pair of knee high socks, one pair of normal socks, 3 or 4 shirts, a sweatshirt, I was in a sleeping bag AND had a blanket and I was still cold. I had to use Tricky as an extra source of heat.
But needless to say it was a good time. I think I shall enjoy going camping again with these people again(there were 24 or so in total on ONE site).
