I just want to say thanks sooo much to everyone for the advice. I'm pretty much heading in the direction of being a friend, hanging out, being there if he needs me, but not actively doing anything to mess up what he has with her. If he decides he wants to leave her, good for him. If he decides he wants to be with me, if I'm ready, then we'll try it. I'm not gonna get any more wrapped in it than I am.

As a guy who takes the label of bisexual only convience, I've got to say that I have some idea what you're going through. I've analyzed my sexuality every which way but up. I've been gay, straight, bi, neither, all...But I ultimately came to the conclusion (stated so much in Shounen-ai manga of all places)that it doesn't matter the gender of the person you're attracted, all that matters are your feelings about the person. It's as simple as that.
