Lake Powell
What an amazing trip. We left for my aunts hosue thursday night to meet up with them at there house, load the vehicles and get ready to leave friday morning. It took about 5 hours or so to get there but it was cool because my mom and dad road with my aunt and uncle so my brother, Cousin and I road up in my moms Convertable Solaro. It was pretty tight, Hot but tight.
We got my aunts boat in the water a little after 2 and headed out to find a camp spot. We found a pretty cool cove right at the base of the rincon, It was nice, open and out of the way. Then Saturday we did some water sports early in the morning. They were good for everyone but me. My aunts boat is more of a cruiser and camping on. Its not meant to be a play toy and it just didnt have the juice to get me out of the water. It was pretty shitty because I am a good water skier once im up. I was a little disappointed but oh well.
We drank lots of coronas, ate some good food, laughed, sang, played in the lake and just hung out. But the nights are so hot out there they suck sometimes. I think it was like 80 some degrees all night saturday, so yeah... it sucked. But that was the only bad part of the trip.
Sunday was a long hot day, We started by doin some more playin on the lake and hanging out. Then cleaned up the Camp site and loaded the boat and then headed back to Bull frogs to pull the boat out. The afternoon was pretty long too because we had to prep the boat to store it back in dry dock right by bull frogs. Started by empting the toilet out, draining the water, clean it, put the cover on and all that fun stuff.
Then drive back to my aunts house to pick up her care that my brother was getting from her and then back to our house and it rained the whole way and took an hour longer then it should have, but it was so nice to get away and just chill... I need to have more weekends like that one for sure. I want my own Wake Board bout now so BAD!!!!
