I wish I could take the amount of simple joy I have right now over my new and suddenly sparkling kitchen, and transfer it to every other part of my life. I also wish that I could transfer the relative ease of what cleaning up my kitchen really entailed.

But then I would have to be able to transfer the ability to really know, to really really know that the work I would be doing today would so obviously result in the end result I think I crave. Thats the hard part ever knowing. What the fuck am I doing comparing a clean stovetop to a deep seated soul buzz? Man, I gotta get out more

Glad I seemed to have been able to sneak under the intoxication alert on Saturday night, perhaps when I took the battery out of the smoke alarm, it was somehow connected.

In the meantime. Im gettin all gastronomical in here tonight. I havent been able to actually USE my kitchen for at least 3 weeks now, and now that its like some cheesy ad from a 1974 edition of Home and Garden, I am pulled back into its confines with bags of carrots, parsnips, onions, chickpeas, beets, tomatoes, potatoes, Guinness, and a healthy portion of vegetarian beef. (I say vegetarian, because I am really hoping that these poor cows I cant stop eating didnt actually eat any meat.)

(oh come on! Theres chickpeas in there since when does steak and Guinness stew have chickpeas??!... Im only adding them so I can use less yummy, delicious morsels of hearty beef.)

Im also going to try my hand at some Irish Soda Bread to go with it, but I have no idea what Im doing with that part It could either turn out as a really flat, chewy and bland pancake, or a 10inch crunchy dog cookie (Morgans laying on the kitchen floor, hoping for the latter.)
