lavinia brought over the DVD Sideways on Friday night.I watched half of it on Friday night. The characters plight bothered me too much to continue watching.

turn this off.

Retried on Saturday, and was able to watch it in its entirety. What a couple of dirtbags the two main characters were. No matter how good a script is, (and it was pretty good) I just cant get involved in a movie when I dont have even the slightest bit of empathy for any of the main characters.

Saturday night was lavinias house warming party, which was great. Tons of people showed up for it, and I didnt wake to a killer hangover. That made one of us.

Then Sunday just got weird. We just went down to Carlos and Buds on Pacific st,

A quick and surreal stop off at The Cecil after that, where we saw the worst dancer in the world. (actually, I should be nice, I think she was probably just very new and very uncomfortable. It was very much like she had never been on stage before, and the poor girls attempt at smiling the entire time ended up twisting her face into an extremely unfortunate grimace.) The whole time she was on stage, there was two brothers sitting beside us. The guy closest to me had some sort of brain injury or perhaps he was just genetically mentally challenged, but he had the mental capacity of like a 5 year old. He looks over at me
I like girls he says, do you like girls?

yes, I like girls too. I say.
He just sits there, grinning and staring at me. Then his brother breaks into seated air guitar to the AC/DC song the grimacing stripper is stumbling around to.
We took our leave.

20 minutes later, lavinia runs into a couple of old clients from when she used to work at a pub. Its an older, married gay couple, probably in their 50s and the one guy says he just won the lottery and lets go for drinks. ?

Free drinks? Um OK.

That proceeded to become ever more so surreal as I become the object of the older guys attention. Next thing I know they are offering Lavinia $10,000 to take me to the Mexican Riviera on a cruise. Like shes my pimpette or something. What is it about some gay men that makes them think that the statement "I am incredibly straight." is an open ended wishy washy wish?

Um I may be a lot of things, but a cabin boy I am not. No matter what the price.

Anyways, this Monday morning is not quite the healthiest of Monday mornings I have had, and I have a HUGE day ahead of me at the office.

Damn those Sundays!
