Ok, days like yesterday are the epitome of why I live in this city. Holy crap it was beautiful!

I took the day off, and by noon I was getting my stuff together for a solitary bike ride down to our local "clothing optional" beach: Wreck.

It's about a 45 minute bike ride, but the ride itself is totally gorgeous. Basically following the sea wall for most of it:
I had to stop and get a shot of this totally sweet looking house along the way, all covered in vines:


Then continued on along up to Jericho beach..


Eventually I got to the end of the main beaches, and although it doesn't look like much, this hill kicked my ass.


When I finally got to the top of the hill, there was a bald eagle waiting for me... watching...




Then finally... I made it to the trailhead.

I finally made it down though,

Eventually, the tequila girl came by, and I couldn't help but oblige...



As gorgeous as it was though, I couldn't stay forever... eventually I had to leave.
After a couple of shots of tequila, and about 4 hours of layin in the hot sun, the ride home was precarious, and downtown looked SO far away:



and as much as I wanted to just lay down on the couch and nap... it was the SGBC get together last night at Doolins!
