I made a little list of things for me to do today.
It included dealing with the piles of stuff I still have in various areas of my apartment. I cant believe how many months its really taken for me to dwindle all this Stuff down to these few piles. And I cant honestly even remember what I have thrown out so far, so I guess I never really needed any of that stuff anyways.
Maybe my sentimentality has finally been beaten out of me.
Ok, no thats not true because I still have all that stuff. I have simply thrown out the computer books and clothing I will never wear again. I kept the ticket stubs, photographs and menus.

Anyways, its now what.2 days, 18 hours, 30 minutes 51 seconds and the rest of the chocolate chip cookies since I have had any nicotine, and to tell you the truth. If that was the worst of it, the worst wasnt so bad. This time around I really havent felt the real urge to break down and have a puff.

Well anyways, Morgan has been seeming a bit off again lately. Depressedish. So this afternoon, even though it wasnt exactly nice out, I thought I would do what I could for him and try to get him some fun. I took him to the beach, just him and I and I hoped he would perk up a bit.
It was just down by the Burrard bridge here in Vancouver and for those fortunate enough to be walking on the right street at the right angle, the city planners have decided to put this sign up so that you know which bridge is the burrard bridge:

We finally got down to the sand, and Morgan tried to look all goth and regal and introspective.

But of course, he cant hold that for long.. and I know the real him. He actually had a bit of a smile on his face here which really made me happy:

(ok, actually I swear he didnt knock down the no dog allowed sign.
No really.

He didnt... whatever )

Then, after he didn't knock it down... he didn't sit on it with the Canadian palm trees and winter cactus behind him...:

Then we hit the water.. He isnt much of a swimmer, actually hes a way better sinker than a swimmer, but he saw a fish or something just under the water, and couldnt stop himself from bravely entering the pacific ocean.
Ok, well maybe not that brave.

Ok, he was terrified, but he just couldnt let up on finding out what was under the water there.

I took one last pic of the shells before we hit the road again:

and we came up past the old building I used to live in that I could smell when I put on that old This Mortal Coil CD. Its the red brick one in the middle of the pic here.

man I miss this place. I wonder if I will move in there again.
hmmmm.

If you're interested in losing that chocolate craving, I'd recommend taking an L-Glutamine supplement (5-10g/day). I use it as a bodybuilding supplement to help recover tissue and to counter the effects the heavy workouts have on my immune system. It has an amazing side effect though of virtually eliminating all cravings for sugar. This doesn't seem to be well documented, but I've always noticed it myself, and have recommended it to a few friends who had problems with eating excessive amount of sugar and it worked well for them too. It's not expensive, I usually use Optimum Nutrition caps.

Just something to look into if the chocolate cravings start getting out of hand.
