Ok, whatever. a snow laden Saturday morning here, and my bank account remains untouched. Dammit, He's outta food as of this morning, so I am going to hit the road here in a bit and trudge another one of those big 40 pound bags home here. Man this dog goes through alot of food, about 20 pounds a week. I guess this silence and lack of financial support for his upkeep means I have have just joined the ranks of the single 'dad' pet owners out there, and she's just joined the ranks of the dead beat moms.

Not exactly her shining moment. Pretty weak

Funny thing is, I bet she has a small group of friends out there telling her how strong she's being for doing this. ?

whatever.

I just got a great idea! About 3 months ago, I thought of getting a new tattoo to cover up a really shitty little thing I got when I was 18. I was the lanky skater boy getting the yin and yang on his deltoid. Small tattoo, only a little bigger than a quarter. I got it done at "smiling buddha" in Calgary by a guy named Paul Jeffries, he was world renowned at the time, maybe he still is, dunno. Anyways, he used black ink to do the outline of the whole thing:

Which meant that when it came to filling it with the red, the black outline became part of the black side, and the red shrunk down inside the black, making the whole symmetry thing go out the window. I noticed it as soon as he was done, but what could I say at that point?

So, for the last 18 years, Ive been living with this off balance thing on my shoulder, and all those years of sun have finally reduced it to a smeared sort of thing, something worthy of covering up. Well, with the Morgster getting on in years, and with the amount of Love I have for this hound, I think the perfect cover up is going to be one of his paws. (I mean a PRINT of his paw not some sick taxidermy thing.) So I have been trying to come up with a method of getting a good imprint of his paw. When I take him down to the beach, and see the footprints in the sand, Im like Thats Cool!
So, a few months ago, I found myself walking home from the loony store with a bottle of green acrylic poster paint, and a few big sheets of construction paper. I think Morgan knew something was up when I started to lay the paper out on the floor here, pouring the paint into a little puddle. Well that didnt work out so well, it seemed like a good idea at the time. Simple. Just plop his paw into the paint puddle, then get a few good imprints of it on the poster paper.
Ok, you try to grab a 180 pound dog, and get a paw print. I think I mentioned this in here before and in about 20 minutes me and my entire living room floor was smeared with green paint, both of Morgans feet were green and the paper didnt have anything on it that even closely resembled a paw print.

Well, we here in Vancouver have been blessed (I say blessed, Im sure the bike couriers dont call it that) with a huge dump of snow. So I just got a better idea: Get some new batteries for the digital camera, and get Morgan out into some fresh deep snow somewhere, and simply take photos of his paw prints.smile

Ok, off to shoppers. Battery buying time.
