Some of you with iPhones may have seen this rather funny app, 'Amp Up Before You Score!'. I downloaded it the other day because I'd heard it was pretty funny, and after checking it out, I definitely agree. However, it also caused me to think a lot about a few things. For those of you who don't know, this app is basically a list of major 'types' of women. So, the Princess, Trouble, the Nerd Girl, the Bookworm, the Women Studies Major, etc etc and on down the line. When you click on a particular type, it gives you stats, helpful hints and things of that nature. Now this is of course all meant to be funny, and it is good for a chuckle, and for the braggarts amongst us, it allows you to keep a running tally on how many of each type you've slept with. Yes I know it is chauvinistic and sexist, it isn't what I use it for but it is a function of the application.
One particular function of this application, that caused me to write this post, is that for each type you can click 'locations' and it pulls up a google map with all the nearest hang outs for that type. For example, the Bookworm's locations pulls up nearby libraries and book stores. Now I've dated my fair share, and if I'm being honest, my 5 best friend's fair shares as well, however as I was looking at the types and recalling I realized there was a landslide amongst the types I had dated. Most notably, the Princess. It made me realize, that perhaps I am not hanging out in the right places, since in terms of attraction and interests the Princess and I are fairly opposite. I smoke, I have tattoos and piercings, I enjoy rock music, xbox and zombie movies. They like going to the mall, buying dance mixes, and like to tell you about every guy that hits on them and how 'disgusting' it is.
In an effort to help correct the error in my ways, I am writing this blog. Where do I need to hang out to meet women like the ones I see here? Unfortunately I only know 1 woman who would match this description, and she is a lesbian (just my luck), so dating her is not an option (much to my chagrin). Basically I would just like to meet people that are attractive AND fun to have a conversation with. Is it possible to meet a girl who is single, into men, interested in fashion, zombies, and xbox? Well reading a lot of the profiles on here would lead me to believe yes. But where do these desert roses congregate that I am unaware of?
