Up until a couple of weeks ago, my three year old son would throw huge fits whenever I came to pick him up. It wasn't that he didn't want to be with me---he just never wanted to leave his mother.

He would literally bawl until he vomited, and then keep going until he tired himself out, or realized that it wasn't going to change anything....

The Sequin Jacket

In 1995, I got the opportunity to make an amazing journey, both physically and mentally. I was chosen to play the keyboard for an elite Air Force show-band called Tops in Blue. For ten months you eat, sleep and breathe your show. Long days, long nights, little sleep, and extreme conditions all work together to make TIB one of the most...

Haha, when I was younger and had recruiters calling and bugging me, I tried getting out of it by saying I was going to be an actress. They told me all about that, and thus, I lost my out. So I had to flat out tell them "NO!!!!!!! I don't wanna!" But I grew up in San Antonio, military was ALLLLL around me.

Pretty boring day today. And I have to get up early tomorrow because I *must* be in no later than 7:30 tomorrow morning. As I normally come in around 8:30, that's going to suck for me.

So, with only that to report, I have a special (*cough*) treat for you. I found the super-fly sequin jacket photo. It's old, and the quality sucks. But for...

ooooh! I used to have this smoking jacket in gold and black thread, with crazy lapels. I bought it at this thrift store in London, called Red or Dead in the '80s. I heartily approve of your jacket! smile

Pretty quiet day. Got in to work late again, and got talked to about it. I really need to cut that shit out somehow. Damned you SG for making me think I can read journals in the morning and still have time to get to work!

I left a comment in Kiki's journal that in part listed the three web-comics I read every day:...

I just got home from a friend's house. We watched this weird movie, Spanish with English subtitles, about dog-fighting, assassination, bad relationships, and some other things. The last line in the movie was something like, "Sometimes life is about what you have lost."

I did learn from it, though. I can now say, "mother fucker" in Spanish.

Who says TV isn't educational?!

For some light...

Had a pretty good time with SGLA at the SG Internal Day of Pancakes. It started out with an hour and 45 minutes in traffic, but once I got there I met some cool people, and had some decent pancakes.

Updated my profile pic. This one actually looks like me, although I really need to clean my PowerBook. blush

I'm going to veg out the rest...

Holy crap. It's 2:30 in the morning.

I'm going to bed. I'll see some of you tomorrow in LA for pancakes.

Time passes...

Update:

Okay. Now I *really* need to get to bed. But before I do, let me take a moment to acquiesce to Jennifer's demands.

1. a movie:

2. a book:

(B) I want everyone who reads this to ask me three questions, no more, no less. Ask me anything you want.

How are you doing today?

What's the weather like?

Do you have any regrets?

And now, back to your regularly scheduled programming.

Dreams.

My dream started out at my parents' house, which is situated on a butte. I had recently gotten out of the shower, and was in boxers with a towel around my shoulders. The thought suddenly occurred to me I was late for my counseling appointment. I threw on a pair of jeans, a sweatshirt, thick socks...

In a journal entry earlier this evening, a young lady told us of a weird dream she had last night, and then said, "tell me a dream that you had that you remember vividly."

So this is for you, GlassHeart...

Many hours later...

Argh! I went to pick my roommate up at LAX. Her flight was supposed to get in at 11:05. I had...
