My friend loaned me his Nikon D100 for all my digital work when I need a digital camera. If digital speed is not needed we just scan medium format negatives and slides but now that the price has dropped on the Minolta 7D and since I have a Minota Maxxum 35 mm system I went ahead and ordered it, so now I have my own digital system. Instead of switching camera systems to Nikon or Canon to go digital I just waited for a Minolta digital camera. But the 7D wasn't released till Jan 05 and the price was to much, so since they dropped the price I will add it to my Maxxum camera system. I see so many wannabes buying digital and adjusting the image on the viewfinder till they get it right without any knowledge of basic photography. That doesn't make you a photographer at all. A real photographer can shoot a chrome and get the exposure dead on everytime, as you have no room for error with slides. How many of these wannabe photographers could get paid big bucks to shoot a chrome and not fuck up the photoshoot? I am anti-digital for the one reason that it increases the amount of shitty photographers on the market. I actually use a shitty photographers website as a marketing tool for me. So shoot on digital wannabes ,and make sure you get a website up with your work I'll market your website for you!
