Its Jan 25th and the east coast and northern states are covered in snow and freezing. Yesterday I was out in a t-shirt doing location photography. New Mexico may not be the most happening state in the union but you cant beat the weather.
We have had an increasing amount of smack talking photographers here in town lately who think if they put down some already established pros so that they can move up the food chain. Its a small world and it gets back to the person in the strangest ways that they talk smack about. I guess I gonna have to put my foot up another photographers ass again!
If you can get only 3-5 models in a city of over 600,000 then you SUCK! I wish these photographers would quit treating the women they photograph like some kind of girlfriend. I still cant believe that another photographer cost a model $250 because he wanted to keep her for himself. I am getting a lot of calls for events but am not booking them as I am to expensive. Even had one potential client call me and tell me my low end wedding package at $950 is offered by another photographer for $300. I told her if I sold you a used car for $300 you would ask "whats wrong with it " One of the best marketing tools a professional photographer has is all the bad photographers running around.........they make our point rather well "you get what you pay for"
