This is my Modest Mouse Week and I think my Ipod knows it. this is what it is playing at the moment



this Thursday they are playing a free concert in Salt Lake City. I am beyond excited. I didn't always like Modest Mouse but as soon as I heard Bukowski I was hooked.



a friend made me listen to it since I have been reading Bukowski since I could choose what I was reading. this is the first book I purchased on my own.


my first girlfriend told me she was attracted to me for my Bukowski-esc personality like traits.

She said I was a strangely attractive boy (I get that neither of these are personality traits but I am paraphrasing her) who said whatever was on his dementedly perverted mind, but when I wrote those same thoughts seemed less invasion and more factual.



I like to think he molded my writing style. nothing flashy just a filter-less yet eloquent view of my world as it flow through my eyes.
