A dreary Tuesday in Dundee- There's nothing like gray light and artistic un-inspiratiuon to screw up your head and make you feel so muggy you just wanna crawl backj into bed, pull the covers over your head and wait for Wednesday-
I didn't, of course, though. Too much to do, too little time. I watched Iain potter around in his baggy pants being the ever-frustrated artist-boy-childe, trying to cheer me up by being goofy and rambling about Peter Gabriel being his new personal G-O-D and wanting to watch a televised play with Woody Harrelson and Kyle Maclachlan tonite- and succumbing to my more Tipping The Velvet edged directions
So I continued the contes I've been working on and contemplated how many sketchbooks it's advisable to put in a portfolio when applying to THE best art school in the country...
I've been feeling more and more like it's all kind of an uphill struggle, no matter how much Iain tries to help- he has ideas about what kind of thing I should be working on and a habit of hijacking evcerything I'm working on, almost making me his own personal project- which doesn't do him any favours with getting on with his own art, and that upsets me because I worry that I'm under his feet, cluttering up his nice apartment with all my girlie accesories...
I tire him out sometimes, especially of late. I just seem to've been playing the insatiable sex-fiend after not seeing him for the few months I was back in Ontario (closure) and I think he's started to wear this real 'lived in' face, you know- he's thinking a lot about transition- I guess I am too- maybe it's the weather...
Anyways, the day hasn't been a total loss- Indian food is only half an hours bubbling away- Mmm Mmm Mmm.
And the new girlie of the day Kikka is soooo gorgeous! Made my day and just reminded me why I love this site...
