wow, that's exactly what i am going to be doing today. weird. i will have the fun for the both of us. my boyfriend is coming to see me, so we will most likely spend the afternoon and night in bed. we're also going to be going out for chinese food. yay!...i'm sorry you have to work. but think of all the money you'll have when you get paid.

the freakiest part of mail-order spouses is how little time people take to get to know each other. i lived with my man for 3 years before we got engaged, and it has still been really hard sometimes. how could you get married to someone you've known for 3 weeks? sick sick sick. love may conquer all, but lust gets flaccid mighty quick, and most people can't really tell the difference.

it's a dazzling bohemian shade of...off-white. the colours are all in the furnishings--bright red rug, red velvet curtains, chocolate sofa, red kandinsky print called 'mit und gegen' which you can check out online if so inclined.

just yesterday i wanted to be six. well more like 4 so i didn't have to go to school. when i was 4 we lived on a little farm near komoka ont, and i just spent all day every day mucking about in the woods on my own--i never got lost or hurt once.

i can think of a way 'just' and 'cramps' go together: 'you don't understand what cramps are like, so i'm just going to have to kill you, you insensitive prick.'

Actually, I read somewhere (probably in I Me Mine, Harrison's book) that "Savoy Truffle" came out of that period of collaboration with George and Eric Clapton. Eric was addicted to sweets. he talked about this in his 60 Minutes interview about his addictions: booze, drugs, and sweets, lots of them. There is a picture, I think in the book I Me Mine, of the chocolate box where the lyrics were taken from; they're actual chocolate names. Creme Tangerine, Montelemare (sp?), and the rest.
In the Beatles recording diary book, I forget the name of it, the one that logs all their studio hours, it says George had the horn section do their parts, then put them through all those effects, then explained that this was how it was gonna sound, and he hoped they didn't mind. It's funny to think they would've been offended, but these were stodgy old union orchestra guys the Beatles used in London and I seem to remember that they WERE sorta offended...
