i saw the movie crash today, it made me think of several things,....
i like hip hop music, but it only collects and articulates the wrongs of racial injustice,
i have a friend named bradly who is always spouting off about...whatever. , you can check him out at www.robothell.com,
but all of these things just point out the problems and their symptomns.
no one ever says hey recognize your privilage, and then sacrifice it to make things a little better. its all just,
"well...i guess were in a nasty state. gee this really sucks"
and its not like i have any concrete answeres either, nor do i claim to, but i think people should just come out and say that when they make art or comentary that reflects the social construct, they should just lable it "my observations on the social construct of (fill in blank i.e. race or gender construction) this would eliminate the huge heap of disapointment one feels when one realizes that no solution is going to be offered, and that indeed, there might not very well be a solution.
