today was odd, and its not over, i got up and started on my work, but then i went to visit mum and she got all passive agressive and then my sister came over, we were supposed to be celebrating her compleation of a dentist assistant program or something, but then mom got all crazy, i'm just glad that battel is over, but this can only mean that the war of the holidays has started.

Ritual was used to equalize the pressure of confinement. Now as we gather in our cave/homes, glutted with our modern Amerikan indulgences, we pick at each other like scabs. Pushing one another to limits of discomfort, pain and tears, our rituals provide no respite since they are empty and devoid of significance.
Parents, consumed with guilt, bare their teeth and unsheath their claws, slashing at their progeny without thought. The ordeal continues until the Tryptophan, Zoloft and Paxil do their work and only the echo of infomercials is heard: a murmur from the home entertainment center.
