It's been a rough week and a half. A few of us at work were clearing land and a tree being picked up went out of control. Of course, I was facing away and didn't see it coming. Luckily, I was bent over when it hit and I wound up with my back getting the main force of it. Doctors and witnesses all agree that if I were standing up, I would have been hit in the head and my neck would have been broken. If I were a cat, I'd have exceeded my 9 lives with this. The way I walk now, I'd be great in a zombie movie.
There is one good thing about this. I'll be out of work for about a month on workmen's comp which will give me much more time to get used to the SG site.

You have the high honor of being commenter #1 on my blog. Thanks for the advice. Also congrats on being alive after the tree missed your head. I live on a farm / forest and was very unpleasantly surprised to find out exactly how heavy even a small wood branch actually is.
