A real update. Well, I suppose I have a lot to update about. This is geared more towards anyone who knows me, and wonders where the hell I've been. Granted, lots of people know me, but I imagine that those who've wondered where I am are limited.
Right now I'm living in Phoenix for a bit. I plan to move to Portland or Champaigne, IL at the end of this year/early next year, though. I'm working as an expoditer for the Cheesecake Factory, and I finally got my EMT certification, so I should be starting as an EMT for Southwest Ambulance soon. I did not move to Indianapolis as planned. Well, I sort of did, just not for long. Kali and I broke up, so there was not much reason to continue with my plans there. She's still my best friend, and we hang out when possible. We'll be road tripping up through SoCal this summer, so hopefully I'll see some old friends there.
After SG, I got involved in a little DIY site called Halosandtails that bought a set from Kali. I mention the name only because the site is no more, so it's not exactly any compettion for SG, seeing as it no longer exists. I was just hoping to keep activity on the boards up to show support for my girl, and they wound up making me a moderator. I did the whole moderator thing for a bit, then after Kali and I broke up, we made a trip to Vegas (where the site owners were based) to shoot some sets for her. While in Vegas, the owners admitted that they were having trouble maintaining their everyday jobs, and still keeping up the site. They offered me a part ownership to help them out, and I accepted. I began editing sets for them, but they never got around to coding me much more than moderator abilities. They stopped talking to their models, and left me high and dry to console the girls that were waiting for sets to go up. It was so bad that Kali and I decided to sell the set I'd shot for her elsewhere. Eventually, I got tired of doing all I could for them, while they did nothing, and their site suffered for it. So I put up a message that I was quitting. Two days later, they got the message, and closed the site down in a fit of anger at me. Hahahaha. I like to think that I singlehandedly caused the site to close, but it was dying anyway.
Now I'm a moderator elsewhere, but it's a competing site, so I won't mention it. I'm shooting sets for them and moderating the boards. Things of that sort. I doubt I'll be shooting for SG, because I've heard tell of some photographer contract, and I'm not in a position to sign anything of the sort. The other site is nice, but it doesn't have many of the things I miss about SG. Namely the people. Now that's the last I'll mention of it, because I don't think it's right of me to talk competion here, and I don't plan to give out the name, since it's not my intent to draw members to it. I'm just a moderator. Pulling in new members is not my responsibility.
Beyond that, I'm just working off my debt, travelling a bit, and trying to do some writing. My life's a bit boring, because I know nobody in Phoenix outside of work, and I don't really go out with them often.
