just another day in the desert. happy turkey day everyone. not much goin on here. didnt do jack today, slept mostly. we should be leaving on sunday, and thats great except for the grueling 4+ hour convoy in the back of a hmmwv (hummer). looking forward to going home for many reasons. number one, i wont have to worry about sand in my asscrack anymore, and two, my best friend's sister in law and her son are moving down december1. i love her son, and my infatuation with her is becoming something a bit more serious. i really should ask her out sometime, but i dont want to ruin our already great friendship, and because i know she is a little insecure about my mental status. that spans back a ways, and i might have written about it in one of last years journals here, so feel free to check it out. my divorce is almost final, just have to send off those pesky papers and wait the tennessee state mandated 60 days for the certificate of divorce. im pretty much over it, and i think we are on the same page for once in our tumultuous 3 year relationship. it just sucks that things didnt work out as planned. i guess the Guardians had different plans for me. silly higher powers, always wanting to be puppetmasters and control my measly life. ah well, better times and better things are coming. iraqi freedom is going to kick off in late january, so i will be out of country for somewhere between six and fourteen months. i will still be on here though, so i will update as often as possible. i will post my addy on here as well, so if you feel inclined to support your troops, care packages would be nice. anyway, we are shutting down business for tonight, so i will sign off for now. night all.
