Anyone see the "Old School" movie with Luke Wilson, Will Ferrel, Vince Vaughn, etc.?
I guess it just ocurred to me that in approx. a year and a half I'm going to be in pretty much the same situation. My contract with Uncle Sam over with, I'll be going back to school to get another Bachelors Degree (or something along those lines), except this time...

hey, right on man. good reading your comments on the torture debate. seems like allot of folks on the CE boards are anti-military bigots. have fun in korea, drink lots of soju, and beware of the $20 juicey.
flb0y:
I heard the juiceys aren't all korean any more. something like russian and new zealanders. oh well. i was at Osan 94-95. do me a favor, send me soju!!! that crap is impossible to find here and i want a white dog so f'n bad!!! and, if you're ever in osan/sang tan, look for a club called heavey metal (if it's still there), it was at the end of aragon ally. on the wall there should be a old white zombe poster, i gave the owners , Doug and his wife that when i used to be there. tell' em joel said hi. oh,and another club i used to be freinds with the owner was viking club on aragon as well, an upstairs club. "Emole" was the owner and a absolute sweet lady to boot.
It's getting around that time of the year when I have to check my incessant partying and start planning my buddy's bachelor party. This is a first for me, and--in truth--something I have been wanting to do for some time now. Not just for anyone, but for this friend in particular.
See, there's background involved. This poor guy never got a chance to see even...

on less than 45 of the 90 or so days that I have spent here so far.

I'm adding you to my friends list, because you have a voice of reason here, and that is all too rare, both in this forum and in real life.
cheers

Well, I checked in today, and one of the three Suicide Girls by my profile pic had been changed. So that was a bit odd, and now I'm scared to switch it back, because such an action could lead to danger...

Well, I finally got my computer, but now have to contend with slow-ass connections. *sigh*
Anyways, I can't complain. Making good friends, enjoying the night life of Seoul (though shuffling home at 7 in the morning is getting a bit old), and training for triathlons isn't the worst way to spend time.

Well, I had my first night out at Seoul, and I have to say it was everything I hoped for. A fun outing in the tourist district, where I ran into people from pretty much every continent (minus polar zones), and even had someone recognize my soccer jersey from Greece.
Then it was off to the University section of Hong Dai (sp?), where the crowd...

man i see you posted a few comments. i am damn sure waiting your return.cool pic.... but you look as if you could use a Guinness.
Ah, Korea. Thank God I was diverted from miserable little Oijongbu to OSan AFB, a far more metropolitan area where I can truly enjoy defiling my self.
Things will be much better. Except for the exorbitant price of Guinness beer.
And the Celtics were swept from the NBA playoffs. Dammit.
Other than that, though, the liver is holding up remarkably well.

Happy birthday!!!

Well, I got excited for a few minutes today, as an individual from a neighboring unit that deals in similar matters as mine came to say that sometime next week we would be frozen from moving on to new assignments. My anticipation at going to Iraq to back my teammates up was high, to say the least, as was the pucker factor.
That rumor was...
