.......
Not much going on. I have veered away from the constant partying during the last two weeks, hitting the gym and the running track pretty profusely. Unfortunately, Friday was a Squadron night, so we all got together and indulged in tons of alcohol and unprofessional conduct. Which basically means I was just trying to recuperate yesterday.
I've got three months left in this place, but it seems that the work and angst will just increase proportionatelly to the shrinking of the amount of days before my departure date. Was that a run on sentence? Sorry about that.
It occurs to me that I'll have to save some $$$ for furniture and to secure a new pad when I get back home. Not sure if I want to move back in to the old "flat"; my roommate is a great guy, but he's had someone taking over my share for about a year now, and I don't feel like kicking him out. I guess I'll play that one by ear, but I'm sort of at the point where I'd like to have my own place. I have all the requisite toys now, for the late-twenties white male after all--big TV, loud stereo with many well-concealed speakers, good PC, multiple video game platforms...
But the problem is that I find myself unable to sleep much anymore. I hope that by the time I get back to NC I'm not setting up underground boxing clubs or what have you.
Hope everyone is enjoying their new year so far. For me, it's been a bit surreal. I always expected something Bladerunner-esque out of a year like 2004. This is almost disappointing.
