Well, I had my first night out at Seoul, and I have to say it was everything I hoped for. A fun outing in the tourist district, where I ran into people from pretty much every continent (minus polar zones), and even had someone recognize my soccer jersey from Greece. 
Then it was off to the University section of Hong Dai (sp?), where the crowd was even nicer. It was just great to get away from the "GI" environment, where you are pretty much either an unwanted guest or a wallet to pillage from... Got to meet some really great people, and didn't get home 'till the next day's afternoon. Much dancing, carousing, revelry, etc. Definitely my new weekend activity.
But the Guinness was still $8 or more...
Thanks to all you kind people who wrote to check up on me. Romance has finally made a quick exit from life, as my lady and I are splits now, but the world turns, and hopefully the sun will be shining on me soon.

hey i am glad to hear you had a great time out on the town. you know i really appreciate your service to the country and i know the GI stuff probably gets a little much sometimes but to get to see places like Seoul has to be awesome.
hey and you are the one person i will never worry about when it comes to women. buddy there are lots of fish ou there and with your brain and looks you are gonna catch a freakin' trophy. enjoy life and it's experiences and one day there she will be. hey that is what happened to me. i met her at 33 and married her at 34.
