sunday, sunday, sunday - what are you good for?

i finally got around to doing a MONTHS worth of laundry today. it's now stacked neatly all over my floor. so much for cleaning my room.

i picked up "tideland" (by mitch cullin) yesterday at borders and promptly finished it a little while ago. terry gilliam did a fantastic job with the movie. there were many many many scenes and images taken straight from the pages, and that is what i love. i loved the book. i loved the movie. i love when a director can spin hard images from poetic words. i love tideland.

i dont know why more people havent caught on to this movie - gilliam has done a tone of other great projects (...aside from "the brothers grimm", what was that about?), but this one seems to fall completely under the radar. it's poorly reviewed, but i've never depended upon anothers opinion to lead me towards media. the story is a little disconcerting, i admit - but beautiful. so, beautiful.
