A week of ups and downs was this. I'm feeling slightly addlepated....

Played hookey from work for the first couple of days, then received my karmic kick in the arse by getting legitimately ill, and had to work sick since I'd already missed a few days.

While at I was work on Thursday, some fuckstick broke into my truck and stole my stereo. He/she/it left all of my cd's, I'm assuming because the average street theif doesn't recognize bands like Wire and Sigur Ros. The fucker got into my truck by prying my driver's side door lock out with a large piece of Chicago cutlery, so now that door is inoperable and I have to climb in on the passenger side. I was parked on a busy street in the middle of downtown. Did no one notice someone gouging away at my truck with a big piece of steel?

So, then some good news. My friend swiped me a VIP pass for MusicFestNW, so all shows were free and I went to the nightly VIP party on Friday (free massages, free drinks, free food from the Montage, free haircuts, etc...). Definitely a fun evening.

Then more bad news. I was supposed to be getting a cat, but now the owner has decided to keep her.

Then the worst news. I asked out a girl that I've been rather fond of for some time, and she shot me down hard. Her voiced sounded pained by the mere prospect. The absolute worst part was the, well....4 or so times during the conversation (if it could be called that) that she interrupted me to check the time and ask my opinion if I thought it was too late for a booty call to this asshat she runs with sometimes. It truly sucks to have someone talking about leaving to go fuck someone else while you're in the middle of telling them your heart.

At least I've got some hash and a guitar....
