Met my new "little brother" today. This is the third time I've volunteered with Big Brothers and Big Sisters, the first time for Portland. Levante is 10. Kind of quiet, but we seem to have some common interests, and I think it's going to work out well. Great to have direct service with a kid again. We went to the park and swung (swang? I'm Southern, I can say that....) on the swings. Few are the problems in life that don't dissipate when you're swinging on a swingset. Everyone knows this, but very few apply it.....
