This has been the weekend of free beer! Friday was the celebration for the Student Leaders for Service program (one of the programs run out of my office), and my boss provided tons of free beer and food (I grilled one hell of salmon). Yesterday was my ex's birthday party, with a free keg courtesy of our friend who works at Portland Brewing.

The party itself was okay, until it was invaded by the most cookie-cutter hipster posse that I've ever witnessed. All six folks looked exactly alike, the boys and the girls. It was as though Weezer had suddenly swelled to six members, added some girls to the mix and showed up to party in North Portland. It didn't help matters that they all refused to mingle and just hung out with each other. I try not to be judgemental, really, but this was just silly. Find what you like and run with it, I suppose, but don't blame me when you mate and the babies come out wearing black frames and a sweater...

Not sure what to do today. Zero in the bank account thanks to work's screw up, and my liver is in revolt.

I have a Trivial Pursuit match with a $100 pot at stake on Thursday. The World Poker Tour it isn't, but it should be fun.
