Yesterday was a bit fucked up. Was supposed to receive a $1200 check from work, which I was told will now be here next week. Well, I already paid a bunch of bills and such since I was expecting the check, so it's another week of abject poverty for me. Also got to my Organizational Theory (oh yeah, it's stimulating, let me tell you) class last night and found out that we had a group presentation that I thought was cancelled. My group was all in suits and ties, and I don't even own a suit (I do own a tie, I keep it tied and in my truck's glove compartment). I had nothing prepared for my portion of the talk, so I had to wing the fuck out of that one.

Went to my first Pirate Thursday and saw lots of folks I met at the BBQ, and tons more new ones. Also met a crazy 62-year-old lady named Donna who showed me her uncle's WWII memoirs and coughed so much that I expected her to die on my shoulder at any minute. I tried to pay someone 50 bucks to make out with her, but no dice... I will definitely be a Pirate Thursday regular though, it's a great time and I feel like I'm making friends. The only real problem is that so many people came, it was hard to talk to anyone at length.

And I got a free Zippo, even though I quit smoking back in August (except for the occasional bumming).
