Just got back from working a concert at USM. The Forms, a New York garage band, came down to the Burg to play a free show in the student union at lunch. Unfortunately, they showed up late, so it was mostly us radio station peeps watching the show. But, we got in trouble with the university staff for cranking the volume waaaay too loud, so it certainly wasn't a total loss!
My friend Lenny is going to make the drive from Hattiesburg to Portland with me. We're leaving on Aug.31, planning on taking our time and driving around 8 hours a day, probably spend about 5 days total on the road. We're going to stop along the way and see whatever bizarre sights are around, like the worlds largest potato and the evil kinevil snake river canyon jump site.
T-minus 10 days and counting.....

you're moving to portland..... I used to live in Hood River.. its about 60 miles upriver, you should check it out, its a cool little town. "windsurfing capital of the world" or so they say.
