Wow. It was a pretty good week. I went on a date with BBFK to see the New Star Trek. It is really good and I would go see it again in IMAX. I found myself fascinated with this plotline:
They are soo good together.
On Tuesday night, I ended up with free tickets to see the Nationals play (and loose) to the Pirates in extra innings. Just to have dinner and a few beers was mucho expensive, but the seats were great and it beats watching it on TV. I didn't get home until almost midnight, and was back up at 4AM. Crashed early Wednesday night.
Thursday I took the train to work (since I was staying late). The one bit of bad news is that there isn't any more telecommuting until the "official HR policy" comes out. I missed the 5:50 train and ended up having to kill some time until the next (and last) train left. Checked out the food court where I found 1000 middle schoolers in various neon tee shirts. I ended up with Sushi (no line) and some iced coffee. Managed to kill my ipod and cell phone battery on the trip home (no outlets on the commuter trains) so I was glad when I got home.
Friday was my last "work from home" day (except for weekend implementations) so I made sure to enjoy my work/sgchat time. We went to Cheeseburger in Paradise, and then got to see one of my favorite bands: Eddie from Ohio
as if that wasn't good enough, the Headliner band was Toad the Wet Sprocket:
I saw Toad back in the Early 90's, and the were good but they had some sound issues.
Overall it was a good show, we had great seats (front row) and the girls behind me were really into the band (to the point that the band noticed them and were making eye contact and kinda smiling). A couple of clove cigarettes and 1 solo CD from EFO band member Julie later, we headed home. Not a bad venue and well worth the $$$. So at this point I am broke until next Thursday.
Tonight is the baby nats and that should be a fun game. Before that I need to clean the house, play task master and make sure "she" gets the 'fridge cleaned up, sex, lunch and maybe a little more SGchat. Hope you have a wonderful weekend.
