What's the deal with all these movies about people that go into a school and inspire the kids?! I'm not saying I'm not for inspiring kids, or I'm against these movies. But there have been a lot of them lately. And when people ask if I want to watch them I say something to the effects of "no, I don't want to watch some white lady go to the 'ghetto' and teach some kids to write." They usually look at me funny at this point unless they know me pretty well. But I say why honor someone who's there for one year when we have teachers that are there year after year that inspire thousands?! I'm not complaining, I just think it's kinda backwards thinking.

We've got something similar to your TiVo here in Oz now called Foxtel iQ, but its pretty damned expensive and yeh.. only good if you crank a whole heap of television, so i havent bothered to get it.

my biggest beef with hollywood is that they cant make anything originial anymore. that and the fact that every goddamn movie has to have some kind of dumbass romantic subplot.
seriously, how many movies can you name that dont have a romantic subplot? theyre out there but there isnt a lot of them.
