so im kinda annoyed with the bass right now. no big deal but im trying to refine the tone im getting and its a pain in the ass. what im goiing for is pretty had to acheive ... nice and ballsy lows but crisp highs ...
i wish i knew more about sound and audio so i could just turn the right dials to the right place and bam, but with the preamp on the bass, the eq on the head and the horn on the cab that leaves a lot of fiddling to do.
i think im gonna goto our studio this weekend and do the fiddling. adjust the action and pickup height on my basses there too so i can see how the signal changes with the tweaks.
another thing thats a bit annoying w/ the process is my head. i have an svt classic that rules. i like it a lot but the issue i have is that certain tone comes in at a cewrtain minimum volume so i pretty much end up plaing loud cuz i want the sound not cuz i wanna be loud necessarily.
hopefully ill get a chance this weekend to do all that and bias the amp too

I've always wanted to play the bass. I told my Mom when I was younger that I wanted to learn... She went to a pawn shop and bought me a guitar. It was no use explaining that they were different. Eh, at least she tried I guess. I never learned the guitar either though, just sold it a couple years later.
