I would never spend that much on ear bud headphones. No one could ever convince me that they are worth it, mainly cause the size can only deliver so much SPL before THD kicks in too much. Not to mention how fragile. Nah, not worth it. I, however, have paid over $250 on normal headphones.

The new layout is indeed taking some getting used to, but I think with the not so good features (top 5, etc) there's some really awesome changes for the better in there too.
